This is the prelude novella to the Existence series, book 1 will be released later this month. I thought it was really cool that the author gives us this story first. Often when a prelude is written later into a series it feels like it’s trying to fill the gaps. Remember is a complete story on it’s own. It gives you hints as to what will come but it seems like there are so many ways in which the world is about to go to shit that you just don’t quite know what way the author will choose. February Fun Times
Here we are, the kids go back to school this week, work has quietened down after the Christmas craziness and I have to do adult things like get my car serviced and all the after school activities are back on. I love having my kids home but little Sir spent more time playing Fortnite than he should have and as much as the family did lots of awesome things, I didn’t get to participate in all of it. Stacking The Shelves
A weekly post where I can gush about my new books? Yes please. Granted I definitely won’t have something to post every week, I’ll just do it as required. I will be including everything from my purchases, to NetGalley, gifts and books from authors.
For more information head over to Tynga’s reviews.
I was going so well. I had only spent $2.99 on books up until this last fortnight, then it all went out the window. I’ve probably only spent $50 or so now, but I requested a few from NetGalley and managed to grab an arc from a favourite author. Maybe next month I can keep it under $10, which is my goal.
Apocalypse Nyx by Kameron Hurley
A quick review
Do you ever have an author that you keep seeing around on the interwebs, but never in store where your likely to impulse buy, and your scared to branch out into new territory because you already have a lot of unread books on your shelves and if you try this author and they are as kick ass as you think they might be, you will end up with 10 more books on your shelves and admitting that you may well die under your tbr pile because there is absolutely zero chance of you catching up? Hot Target by April Hunt
A Review
I received Hot Target from the publisher, via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Hot target is a romance novella from April’s Alpha Security series. We jump in after a couple of books so the book alludes to events that have happened in the past, but we never feel like we have missed any of the story. It’s really easy to read as a standalone, Continue reading “Hot Target by April Hunt”
