In a world where females are banned from telling stories and stories are never told for entertainment, we have the Listeners. If they are told a story and they like it they can help you with magic. 12 year old Kaya knows that she isn’t to tell stories or something bad will happen, but after feeling the tingle on her neck telling her a Listener is nearby, she takes a breath and shares a story. The Listener repays her story with a little bit of magic. But when her brother is taken to a nearby city to be interrogated, she knows deep down that this is her fault and that she must do everything she can to save him. Stacking The Shelves
A weekly post where I can brag about my new books? Yes please. Granted I definitely won’t have something to post every week, I’ll just do it as required. I will be including everything from my purchases, to NetGalley, gifts and books from authors.
For more information head over to Tynga’s reviews.

February wrap up
Books, movies and more reality tv than I should admit.

I read a mixed bag of books this month, some were great, some were shit and others were ok. I watched some tv and headed to the movies for Valentines Day. Lets look at the books.
Riverkeep by Martin Stewart – I didn’t love it. My ‘starts as a review, but turned into a rant’ is up, if you want more info click the link. 2 stars Continue reading “February wrap up”
Book of Souls by Nadine Nightingale
Book Review
If death wants you, he’ll get you. Some cross his path sooner, others later. But we all rendezvous with the reaper at some point. He’s rarely as handsome as Joe Black, yet always as insidious as Michael Myers.
Nisha Blake doesn’t fit in, the locals call her the Angel of Death. Little do they know how close they are to being right. Death finds those close to Nisha. The friendly store clerk, her teacher, her friends, her neighbour, they all died in her presence. Not even her parents were safe. Continue reading “Book of Souls by Nadine Nightingale”
