I’m Maxine, a 35-year-old mother of two. My spare time is spent with my nose in a book, or catching up on all the TV shows and movies I’ve missed over the years.
Fantasy is my happy place, from epic to urban, although I have been known to venture out into the realms of contemporary and sometimes even romance.
My favourites include – Brandon Sanderson, Mark Lawrence, Jay Kristoff, Ilona Andrews and Patricia Briggs. I have so many unread books on my shelves that they may crush me, but I continue to add to them in the hopes that I’ll discover how to freeze time and actually get to them all.
My reviews are usually short, focusing on the characters and what I liked.
