Quick Fire Book Tag

I saw this tag over on Don Jimmy Reviews page and decided to give it a go

1. E-Book or physical book?
At the moment I’m on an e-book binge, which has been inspired by the SPFBO5. I’m smashing through the self published books I picked up last year.

2. Paperback or hardback?
Paperback. Unless of course it’s a special edition, but I don’t often read those. I just like them because they are pretty and with certain authors I’m obsessive and must have everything.

3. Online or in-store book shopping?
Online. I struggle to find what I want in my local bookstore. Plus I’m cheap, I tend to go for the cheapest option.

4. Trilogies or series?
Both. It depends on the genre. Urban fantasy and pnr, I like them to be longer. I like my epic fantasy in trilogy and even duology’s.

5. Heroes or villains?
Jorg – take from that what you will

6. A book you want everyone to read?
Nevernight by Jay Kristoff.

7. Recommend an underrated author?
Ummmmm…… Not necessarily underrated but I wish more contemporary fans read Megan Jacobson.

8. The last book you finished?
Touch of Iron by Timandra Whitecastle

9. Weirdest thing you’ve used as a bookmark?
Whatever I can find on my bedside table. Nothing overly weird.

10. Used books – yes or no?
Yes. Used books have allowed me to try genres I would usually shy away from and find new favourite authors.

11. Top three favourite genres?
Epic fantasy, paranormal romance and urban fantasy.

12. Borrow or buy?
Buy.

13. Character or plot?
I can’t choose, though I love intriguing characters and I can read a book with a tired plot if I like them enough.

14. Long or short books?
I’m not big on short stories, but otherwise I don’t mind.

15. Name the first three books you think of?
Bloodrush by Ben Galley
Mistborn by Brendan Sanderson
Prince of Fools by Mark Lawrence

16. Books that make you laugh or cry?
Kings of the Wyld by Nicholas Eames. I laughed my ass of through it. I also cried like a baby. That book had it all.

17. Our world or fictional?
Fiction.

18. Audiobooks, yes or no?
No

19. Do you ever judge a book by its cover?
100% all the time.

20. Book to movie or book to tv?
I will probably bitch either way.

21. A movie or tv show that you preferred to the book?
Harry Potter 1, 2 and 3.

22. Series or standalones?
Don’t make me choose, I don’t want to choose and it’s my blog so I’m not.

And that’s me done for today. Happy reading all.
