Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme where we get to feed that part of our soul that loves lists, by coming up with 10 things related to a certain topic. Top Ten Tuesday was originally created by The Broke and Bookish and is now being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and future week’s topics can be found HERE. This week’s topic is:
HIDDEN GEMS
I’m wondering if I consider a lot of these hidden gems purely because they aren’t all fantasy. After I wrote up my list, I decided to check Goodreads and see if these really are hidden gems, or if it’s just because of who I interact with and follow on social media (99% are fantasy related), that they seem like they don’t get enough love.

Three of my 10 have less than 200 ratings so they are definitely hidden gems. Three have more than 10,000 ratings, I guess they aren’t as hidden as I thought. I’m most surprised by Silence. It was a free eBook, I read quite a while ago, it made me cry a lot. I didn’t expect it to have so many ratings. The Belles is a 2018 release so I probably shouldn’t have put it on the list. I was trying to think which of these low rating ones I would 100% recommend and I just have to say Sven The Zombie Slayer was laugh out loud funny, Tearing us Apart was an expertly crafted story, wasting no words…. Actually I recommend all of them, I rated them all a 4 star or higher.
Have you read any of these?
I’m so curious about The Belles – there’s no way I can avoid reading it! Happy Tuesday!

It has the most beautiful descriptive writing. It’s as beautiful as the cover. 🙂

The Belles, The Lonliest Girl in the Universe and All the Rage are on my TBR. They all seem like books I’m going to love. I recently saw the cover of the sequel to The Belles and it’s gorgeous!

Ooh I haven’t seen the sequel cover yet. I’m looking forward to the book. I don’t even know what it’s title is.
The Loneliest Girl in the Universe was a random pick up for me. I didn’t really know anything about it, which I think added to my enjoyment. 🙂
